Ergonomics
The Ergonomics area aims to do research and development in ergonomics applied to work design, product and service development, and production processes. The research carried out under this area incorporates the analysis and design of ergonomic aspects of work, products, services or processes to make them user-friendly. The work done in this area intends to improve human well-being and the overall performance of the system.
This area of concentration is divided into three lines of research:
(i) Ergonomic production management,
(ii) Ergonomic product and service design, and
(iii) Ergonomics in occupational safety and health.
